In his speech, Tian Zongchun said that in recent years, Lanshan has kept in mind General Secretary Xi Jinping’s earnest promise to “move toward modern logistics.” The Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government earnestly implemented the best strategy for commercial and trade logistics, taking the internationalization of the mall as the leading principle, vigorously carried out the “100 groups, thousand enterprises, the mall goes to sea” campaign, and vigorously promoted the integration of the development of merchant warehouses, exhibition gardens, trade workers. He stressed that Africa has always been an important partner of Linyi City, especially in the “One Belt One Road” initiative under the guidance of Africa and Linyi economic and trade exchanges have become increasingly close, continue to deepen, friendly exchanges rich and diverse, continue to heat up. In 2024, Linyi’s exports to Africa increased by 42% year on year. Products such as hardware tools, building materials, ceramics, textiles and clothing are favored by the African market and enjoy broad prospects for cooperation.

Sun Baoan introduced the development of Linyi Wholesalers Federation in his speech. He said that in the field of international trade, the Federation has achieved fruitful results. In October last year, the Federation set up the “China Linyi Mall Oman International Exhibition Hall” in Oman, inviting more than 120 international buyers to visit the site. The transaction volume reached more than 30 million yuan and the intention business volume reached 270 million yuan. At the 2nd Linyi Mall International Buyers Conference, Uzbekistan buyer service center and other international cooperation platforms were added. In addition, the Federation also organized member enterprises to visit 16 countries along the Belt and Road Initiative, helping enterprises to enhance international competitiveness through five industry outreach salons, cross-border e-commerce training and six foreign-related business training sessions. The Linyi Mall High Quality Products Expo will be held in Angola from July 4th to 6th. Nearly 200 Linyi enterprises will bring superior products such as building materials, hardware, consumer goods to the exhibition, and plan to set up overseas warehouses in Haishan Trade City.

Relying on Linyi’s industrial advantages, business background and logistics strength, the fair will join hands with African partners to expand the new space for economic and trade, industrial cooperation. During the fair, the participating African buyers and Linyi participating enterprises had a warm exchange of discussion, reached a number of procurement requirements. Representatives of Linyi participating enterprises said that through this negotiation meeting, they expanded their understanding of international trade, more understanding of the frontier needs of international trade, and provided clear guidance for the next step of their development efforts and orientation.
